Belum lama ini, rendang dinobatkan sebagai salah satu masakan terlezat di dunia. Satu resep rendang istimewa berikut ini bisa Anda sajikan untuk keluarga terkasih.

Bahan
½ butir kelapa, parut halus
500 gram daging sapi potong menjadi 10 bagian
1½ liter santan dari 2 butir kelapa
Haluskan
7 butir bawang merah
4 siung bawang putih
50 gram cabai merah keriting
3 buah cabai merah besar, buang bijinya
3 cm jahe
3 cm lengkuas
Garam secukupnya
3 batang serai, iris tipis bagian putihnya
3 lembar daun salam
5 lembar daun jeruk
1 lembar daun kunyit , iris tipis
1 keping asam kandis
2 cm kayu manis

Cara membuat

  • Sangrai kelapa parut dengan api kecil sambil aduk terus-menerus sampai berwarna kecokelatan merata. Angkat, tumbuk sampai halus dan berminyak.
  • Campur bumbu halus bersama santan dan bumbu daun. Masak dengan api sedang sambil aduk/timba-timba sampai mendidih dan santan berminyak. Masukkan daging, aduk sesekali dan masak sampai daging empuk dan matang. Angkat dan dinginkan.
  • Kecilkan api, lanjutkan memasak santan sambil sesekali diaduk supaya tidak melekat di dasar wajan. Sementara itu suwir-suwir daging kemudian pukul-pukul sampai seratnya menyerabut. Sisihkan.
  • Setelah santan mengental, masukkan daging dan kelapa sangrai tumbuk. Masak terus sambil aduk sampai santan mengering.
